Southern Utah Music & Arts Council runs the outdoor stage in Ivins where live bands, teaching artists, and open-mic regulars play to a crowd that never pays a cover — because none of our roughly 80 shows a season ever charge one.

“Live music and the arts should be accessible to every resident regardless of income — removing cost as a barrier is the core reason our organization exists.”
Unlike most local live-music venues, which operate inside bars or restaurants and require a purchase, every one of our events is fully open to the public: no ticket, no minimum, no age limit. We don't offer discounts to select groups — we skip the cost for everyone, every time.
02 · Programming

Touring and local bands, plus paid teaching artists, take the outdoor stage at 27 N 200 E all season long — sound and lighting run by our own crew, every show free to walk up to.
A standing night where musicians at any level plug in, play, and learn from each other — the peer-to-peer half of our music community, not a performance for an audience.
Free, open-to-the-public instruction in painting and visual art, building skill in the community rather than just staging performances for it.
An annual student showcase hosted on our stage, with the same offer extended to any Washington County School District group or club that wants to perform.

Our season runs on 7 unpaid volunteers handling everything from set-up to sound checks. More hands mean a longer, better season for everyone in the audience.

06 · The venue
27 N 200 E, Ivins
Our outdoor stage sits on land leased from The Icebox Grill in Ivins for a nominal $1 a year — a genuine community partnership, not a discount. It's what lets us run a full season of professional sound and lighting without ever charging at the gate.
Between shows, the same stage hosts open mics, student concerts, and art classes — keeping the space in near-constant use rather than sitting dark between headline nights.
